This week, our team has been reading about the growing advertisement boycott of Facebook over disinformation and hate speech featured on the social media platform. Participants in the boycott currently include companies such as Patagonia, Verizon, and Ben & Jerry’s. We’ve also included stories on new actions the European Union is taking to combat coronavirus disinformation and growing evidence that disinformation about the virus potentially aided the spread of the pandemic
